Affidavits in family law actions at the Court of Session

The Lord President has today announced that a new Practice Note about affidavits in family actions in the Court of Session will come into effect on 24 September 2018. The new Practice Note will replace the previous one from 2004. Read more

Should civil partnerships be open to all?

The Supreme Court has today made a declaration that preventing different sex couples from entering into civil partnerships is incompatible with the European Convention on Human Rights. The case had been brought by Charles Keidan and Rebecca Steinfeld (supported by the equal civil partnerships campaign). Read more
