Alison Edmondson and Robert Gilmour are both speaking at today's conference hosted by The Edinburgh Centre for Private Law. The conference is looking at changing families in society and law, following Sir James Munby's lecture yesterday evening.
Alison will give a practitioner's response to the talk by Murray McLean of the University of Glasgow, entitled “Forming Marriage: Denomination and Demographic Change” and Robert will respond to Abertay University's Dr Alan Brown's talk, “Two Means Two, but Must Does Not Mean Must: An Analysis of Recent Decisions on the Conditions for Parental Orders in Surrogacy”.
