Alison Edmondson in Journal on new caselaw

Alison Edmondson was invited to write about a recent Court of Session financial provision on divorce case in which she acted in the Journal of the Law Society of Scotland.
In "Assets, Experts and Fair Sharing" Alison looks at the treatment by Lady Carmichael in Macdonald v Macdonald of valuations of businesses and land, expert evidence on capital gains tax and expenses.
Much of Alison's work involves matters where valuation issues are key- whether property, shareholdings or investments. Her cases include matters in the Court of Session and Sheriff Court, and especially those that have tax and corporate issues.
