Affidavits in family law actions at the Court of Session

The Lord President has today announced that a new Practice Note about affidavits in family actions in the Court of Session will come into effect on 24 September 2018. The new Practice Note will replace the previous one from 2004. The new Practice Note provides updated guidance on the preparation and use of affidavits given the increased use that is made of affidavits as evidence-in-chief in defended family actions.
